This is the rule! Here's some elaboration:
Speak to others in the same way that you would like to be spoken (Matthew 7:12).
Humility is a virtue (I Peter 5:5).
Examine yourself first (Matthew 7:1-6).

If someone jumps all over you, pour "heaping coals of fire on their head" (Romans 12:16-21 - Read the verse, or you might get the wrong idea  )
