I have a short reply. When I have time, I may make a fuller response. Ephesians 5:19 specifically says how we are to sing (if I accept your rule of general vs specific authority). We are to make melody. Since the Bible specifies melody and omits using the word harmony along with instrumental music, ...

So what happens to a person who has a "deathbed" conversion? Churches I have been involved with have typically (though not always) required a parent's permission before baptizing a child.
