Are you being misunderstood?

Post by grand_puba » Sat May 20, 2006 3:03 pm

Here's a good technical article, which shows how most people inproperly convey their emotion in writing email and forum posts, while most readers misunderstand it. However, the crazy part is that everybody thinks they are communicating clearly, and most people think they are interpreting the intended sentiment correctly! But, they are often wrong!!

Please be careful, because it is more likely that your conveyed emotion is being misunderstood, and the reader is assuming the worst!

Incidentally, liberal use of the "emoticons" can help convey your emotion more clearly, but even with their usage, please take time to preview and re-read your own post to ensure that it cannot be misinterpreted.
